| Foxie was a birthday present from my husband. We went to purchase one pup and came back with two! At the time, I just couldn't choose between Foxie and her sister, so we took both! Foxie got her name because she looked so much like a red fox when she was a pup. As is the norm, her color has changed dramatically in her lifetime. She has been such a joy! She is eager to please................. and SMART! By the time she was 4 months old, she would heel, sit, lie down, stay, play dead, fetch......... and if told to do so, she would drop her play toy in the horse trough and retrieve it by sticking her head under the water! I remember once while carrying groceries in, a can of beans fell out of the bag. Foxie, who had met me at the car, saw it, and just casually, I told her to "bring it" (as I would do when she would play fetch and not want to give the ball back). Of course, I wasn't really expecting her to do it! But, she just picked it up and followed me in the house just like she knew what I was wanting! I tell ya, the girl is just PRICELESS! |
